Rosalyn Jewel Farney (she/they) is an artist currently based in Austin, Texas. Rosalyn obtained a BFA from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago and an MFA in Studio Art at the University of Texas at Austin - earning both with a focus on printmaking. She has additionally studied painting, drawing, and sculpture at the Academy of Art University in San Francisco, San Antonio’s Southwest School of Art, and Ox-Bow School of Art. She was awarded the U.S. Fulbright Scholarship during 2023-2024 for her project Stop-Motion Animation and Transformative Archive (Berlin, Germany). Rosalyn currently creates iterative, process-based drawing, photography, and moving images. Her work has been exhibited in galleries and DIY spaces in Chicago, Berlin, and Austin.
