Orb Portraits
2025-
I started taking parts of Scenarios and re-drawing them at new angles and proximities, focusing on my drawing process as I elaborate on the elements. In Orb Portraits I draw the light sources from Scenarios at new perspectives. Committing to a simple, repetitive form for extended periods of time is helpful in broadening my drawing techniques. I build up small marks across large pieces of paper, which gives me freedom to focus on the drawing process itself more than the image. As I do this, I get to know how the forms I draw can change shape and grow over time.
